Founder and CEO

Haydn Povey founded Secure Thingz to help make security for connected devices easier to implement for companies of all sizes. As the CEO, he steers the company toward a vision of helping our customers secure intellectual assets, accelerate trustworthy product delivery and make security a benefit instead of a cost. Haydn also currently sits on the Executive Steering Board of the IoT Security Foundation.

Haydn has been in senior management at leading global technology companies for over 20 years, including 10 years in senior marketing and business development roles at ARM. While at ARM, Haydn most recently looked after the company’s strategy and product roadmaps for security within IoT and M2M marketplaces. Haydn also led the development and introduction of the Cortex-M microprocessor family, which has driven the rapid adoption of 32-bit microcontroller technology around the globe and underpins the majority of IoT devices.

Stephan Spitz is responsible for formulating, facilitating and communicating Secure Thingz’ strategic initiatives for our business and technology offerings

Stephan has more than 20 years of experience with research, pacing product and solution development in the field of information and communication security. Previously, he worked in a senior management position at G+D Mobile Security, driving the evolution of G+D’s technology strategyBefore this role, he led the global R&D organization of Trustonic, a joint venture formed by ARM, G+D and Gemalto, which he co-founded by creating the technology base.

An inventor, author and lecturer, Spitz holds many patents in the field of IT security and has a PhD degree from the Technical University of Munich.

Tim O’Neill

VP Silicon Partnerships

Tim O’Neill manages Secure Thingz’ commercial relationships, focused on silicon partnerships and enabling the hardware ecosystem. His objective is to enable innovation across a broad range of IoT devices while protecting the safety and privacy of the people who use them.

Tim’s technology sales career spans 25 years. He managed sales channels in the EDA space at both Mentor and Zuken. He spent 8 years at Arm, first in a senior sales role then as Regional Sales Director for Silicon Valley. He next joined Oracle in a senior sales position, working with semiconductor partners and large security infrastructure OEMs. Tim joins Secure Thingz from Trustonic, where he was Senior Sales Director, Americas, responsible for strategic semiconductor, IoT, and mobile (enterprise, fintech) security engagements.

VP Business Development

Andrew Frame is responsible for driving the adoption of Embedded Trust, revolutionising the way IoT/embedded developers and security managers build the highest level of security into their products from inception, and seamlessly implement best practice security features and capabilities into their IoT connected devices.

Andrew has held senior IoT business development, product marketing, and commercial roles in over twenty-five years in the Embedded and IoT industry, with twenty-three years of that experience at Arm, focussed on the IoT/Embedded microcontroller industry and related software development tools market space.

Whilst at Arm Andrew transformed the 32-bit microcontroller Cortex-M microprocessor space through driving the Cortex-M3 market success and broadening the portfolio though introducing the Cortex-M7, the highest performance member of the family. Prior to this Andrew was commercially responsible for the software development tools business.
